If an animal does something to injure your fragile ego you are in right to retaliate in any way you see fit. At least that’s what some young men in San Francisco thought:

A man was sentenced to five months in jail after he and a friend, acting on wounded pride, gunned down an ostrich that had kicked them as their female companions laughed […]

(full story)

So an animal kicked them and their female friends laughed. Big whoop. How can that possibly justify killing the animal? These guys have serious anger management issues and a low value of self worth if they felt that the murder of an innocent animal that had no malicious thoughts or intentions were justified.

To give them only five months for this is ridiculous. An ostrich kicked them and some women laugh, so they whipped out their guns and opened fire. What’s going to happen when someone cuts these guys off in traffic or a girl turns them down?

Mommy please drive carefully

Published by Joana under Crime, People

I have to ask myself, what is the world coming to? What happened to the nice soccer moms that drove five miles under the speed limit and always placed an out stretched hand across their child to help hold them in place on the seat next to them as them made a turn or braked? Is this the future generation of driving mothers:

A woman led police on a 25-mile high speed chase until she crashed into a concrete median, killing her 9-month-old daughter in the collision, authorities said.Alexxus Riza was thrown Friday night from the SUV, which rolled several times under an Interstate 35 overpass, said Trooper Dub Gillum of the Texas Department of Public Safety. The vehicle struck a traffic light before hitting the concrete barrier, officials said.

Aimee Andrea Riza, 36, of Keene, sustained minor injuries and was charged with manslaughter, evading arrest, resisting arrest and reckless driving, Gillum said. (source)

Times change, I’m painfully aware of this, but that is not an excuse for reckless endangerment of one’s own children. Why wouldany parent knowingly engage in such reckless behavior for no apprent reason and put their child at risk like this? A child is dead now because her mother couldn’t follow the basic laws of driving and when she was called on it, instead of owning up to guilt she ran away. A 9 month old little girl was brutally murdered by her own mother today.
