GLENDALE, Calif. — For Nicole Richie, four days in jail will be an intermission in her glamorous lifestyle: No miniskirts, no stiletto heels and no time off for good behavior. House arrest is not an option.

For her wrong-way freeway trek in a Mercedes-Benz, Richie was slapped Friday with a sentence of nearly four days in jail, a fine of $2,048 and orders to attend drug and alcohol rehab.

It’s a known fact that these pampered Hollywood princesses’ mechanics and what not are spending a small fortune in Automotive detailing supplies and repairs considering the known (and most definately unknown) escapades they get into and yet they just getting slapped on the wrist for it. Why? I mean really, if I or you were to pull stunts like this would we be getting four days in jail and a small fine? Oh granted to us that fine isn’t too small, but for these airheads it’s a drop in the bucket. Where is the punishment?!

Life Sentenced Turned Death Sentence

Published by Joana under Crime, Entertainment, People

Somehow I find it hard to drudge up much sympathy for this ‘vicitm’

SAN FRANCISCO — The man convicted of stalking and killing actress Rebecca Schaeffer in 1989 was stabbed repeatedly by another inmate in the prison where he is serving a life sentence, corrections officials said.

Robert John Bardo, 37, suffered 11 stab and puncture wounds Friday at Mule Creek State Prison in Amador County, authorities said. He was treated at University of California, Davis, Medical Center and returned to the prison, officials said.

“We have a number of high-notoriety cases, so we cannot jump to the conclusion as to whether his notoriety was a factor in the attack,” said prison Sgt. Chris Weathersbee.

The slaying of Schaeffer, a former teenage model who co-starred in the 1980s sitcom “My Sister Sam,” helped prompt anti-stalking laws. She was shot when she answered the door of her home in Los Angeles.

The upside of this is that there is one less person sitting around behind bars in comfort due to tax payers’ money. To be honest, given the fact that he was a crazed stalker I’m amazed he didn’t get a death sentence and instead received life. Imagine a life behind bars? Well, he was spared the indignity of using incontinence products while locked up yes?

The way I see it, Rebecca Schaeffer’s killer was finally punished and justice was served.

Can We Get the MadCelebrities off the Streets Please?

Published by Joana under Crime, Entertainment, People

Racing through the streets of Santa Monica, California late last night, completely oblivious to the beauty of the high rise of steel buildings around her and hell bent on harassing a single woman, Lindsey Lohan was arrested for posession of cocaine, driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. — The troubled saga of Lindsay Lohan took another turn Tuesday when police booked her on suspicion of drunken driving and cocaine possession after a frightened woman dialed 911 to report being chased by Lohan’s SUV.

Less than two weeks out of rehab, with another drunken-driving case pending, Lohan had a blood-alcohol level of between 0.12 and 0.13 percent when police found her about 1:30 a.m., Sgt. Shane Talbot said. The legal limit for driving in California is 0.08.

Lohan attorney Blair Berk said her client had relapsed and was again receiving medical care. Her appearance Tuesday on “The Tonight Show” was canceled.

“Addiction is a terrible and vicious disease,” Berk said.

Authorities received a 911 call from the mother of Lohan’s former personal assistant, said Lt. Alex Padilla. The assistant had just quit hours before, he said.

“The mother was afraid,” Padilla said. “She wasn’t quite sure what was going on so she called the police saying she wanted to make sure everything was going to be OK.”

The woman apparently didn’t realize it was Lohan who was behind her, Padilla said.

Police said the woman drove her black Cadillac Escalade into the parking lot of Santa Monica’s Civic Auditorium, about a block away from the Santa Monica Police Department, followed by Lohan driving a Yukon sport utility vehicle. Authorities arrived and saw Lohan and the woman in “heated debate,” Padilla said.

Can we just get these blonde, trouble making, bimbos off the streets please? I’m sure the residents of California would feel much better knowing Hilton, Lohan, Spears, and Richie were all safely off the streets and away from the rest of society.

There’s One Journalist Who Gets It

Published by Joana under Crime, Entertainment, Media, People

I’m glad to see there is at least one jounralist, and most probably a ton more, who feel the exact same way that I do:

NEW YORK — A lighter and paper shredder helped make Mika Brzezinski the symbol of television journalism’s guilt trip about Paris Hilton.

Brzezinski used both to destroy a script calling for her to read about Hilton’s release from jail on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” program recently. Part serious, part an act, it has become an Internet sensation. More than 2 million people have watched a clip of the incident, around 10 times the number who watched it live on TV.

Apparently, she’s not the only one sick of the socialite.

(Full Article)

Nope, Brzezinski is not the only one tired of hearing about Hilton, in fact I pledged not to post anything further on this…woman..but this deserved recognition. Mika Brzezinski I applaud you.

“Among journalists it touched a nerve because I think we’re tired of pretending this is important,” she said. “We also know that, deep down inside, our viewers know that we don’t believe this is news. They can’t. They can’t think we’re that dumb.” […]

You don’t need to have any fancy-smancy entertainment system or home furniture to enjoy this great moment in broadcasting history. Just grab some snacks and lean back in your computer chair, the entertainment is about to start:

To top it all off there is an awesome vintage Police poster included with the cd as well. This is, without a doubt, a must have for all Police fans. So if you haven’t had the chance to add it to your collection yet I strongly recommend that you go out and remedy that immediately.
