Time to Say Goodbye

Welcome to Scuttlebutt Pipeline! If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed or sign up to receive email notifications of new entries.

As you might have guessed by the lack of updates her for an extended period of time I’ve decided to close down this blog and instead focus my efforts on my personal blog and my book blog.

Initially I created this blog because there were some complaints from readers at my personal blog that blogging about news articles that interested me detracted from my blog. But as time went on I felt more and more constrained rather than free and blogging became a chore. So from now I say screw what others say, I’m blogging how I want to blog. If you’re still looking for some wacky and interesting news bit then keep an eye on my personal blog as that’s where you’ll find ‘em. ;)

I had the same issue on my blog(s). My solution was to automate my tech news blog, supplementing it with my own original content when I had something interesting to add. Converting an rss feed to a wordpress post isn’t difficult. Some people really get upset by the idea and might call you a content stealer, but don’t feel you have to be a slave to your website either. In my opinion, as long as you use a feed that grants permission to republish and link to the original author, then go ahead and try it.

Well, I just found the site, but it looks like I’m a little too late.
I’ll have to check out your personal blog.

Its hard enough to keep focused on maintain one blog sometimes, I can see how two blogs is a little harder.
