If an animal does something to injure your fragile ego you are in right to retaliate in any way you see fit. At least that’s what some young men in San Francisco thought:

A man was sentenced to five months in jail after he and a friend, acting on wounded pride, gunned down an ostrich that had kicked them as their female companions laughed […]

(full story)

So an animal kicked them and their female friends laughed. Big whoop. How can that possibly justify killing the animal? These guys have serious anger management issues and a low value of self worth if they felt that the murder of an innocent animal that had no malicious thoughts or intentions were justified.

To give them only five months for this is ridiculous. An ostrich kicked them and some women laugh, so they whipped out their guns and opened fire. What’s going to happen when someone cuts these guys off in traffic or a girl turns them down?

Wow, how fragile of an ego can this guy have? He seems like one of those types of guys who do things worse than this - maybe one to send up a red flag about.

Well, I think the ostrich has had the last laugh. Any kind of legal hassle or jail time is a big disrupter of your life. That man is feeling pretty d*mn sorry right now, I’d say. Plus the remarks people are going to make “Here he comes, ostrich killa, ha ha!”

Not enough punishment in my opinion. Killing an animal is never the solution…even if you feel like. I remember the time our geese decided to nip my father in the you know where. He screamed and yelled and even threatened to kill them but he didn’t. He knew they were just protecting their food.

i cannot blieve that guy. he needs anger management too. i hope his time in lock up is the worst five months of his life and that he’ll be wishing an ostrich would kick him again to put him out of his misery.

Wow. How sad. It’s common enough for serial killers to start with animals as children … that’s a serious red flag, and those peoples’ sanity should be studied up close before they’re released back into the community.
