We’ve all seen the clips and photos of the woman who came forward on the Today show to protest Southwest Airline’s treatment of her, but now we’ve got another one.
What, you haven’t heard? Just watch the MSN news clip.
Truth be told, I can’t find anything wrong with her dress that would require her to cover up. It has a v-neck? Yes, but nothing was being improperly displayed. In fact, that’s an outfit I would expect a lot of women to wear when they go out shopping, eating to a cafe even, in other words, it’s not attire one would expect to see only at a club, party, or college campus.
I’m thinking the flight attendant who told this woman to cover up might have been just a tad bit jealous.

This just gets me so freaking mad! When was it decided that airlines would be the fashion police? I’ve seen women on the street wearing much more revealing clothing and in any case so long as the person is dressed I have no idea what the airlines might have been thinking. This reeks of conservatism run amok and gives me one more reason to want to leave the U.S. for good. I can assure you that I for one will NEVER fly on Southwest Airlines. Never.
This whole airline modesty thing is getting out of control. I’m a very modest person, but I wasn’t offended by her outfit. The flight attendant was out of line.
Thailand,
Southwest is a pretty inexpensive airline, I know I’ve flown it from time to time, and believe me when I say I have seen MUCH worse allowed on those flights and nothing was said then so why now when these women really weren’t wearing anything very revealing?
I read someone on another blog comment about how short the first woman’s skirt was and that when the she sat down you could see her panties. Clearly this is someone who hasn’t flown in a while. After all, if she’s in her seat and you’re not on the floor in front of her, how would one see?
From what I understand the second incident wasn’t on Southwest Airlines but American.
