This is just an absolute low for commercial products and capitalism:

Chinese authorities have told the FDA that the wheat gluten was an industrial product not meant for pet food, Sundlof said. Still, melamine can skew test results to make a product appear more protein-rich than it really is, he added. That raises the possibility the contamination was deliberate. (source)

FDA officials won’t know for sure until their visas to China are approved and they begin the inspection of the facilities, but the fact remains, there is a high probability that the food was deliberately contaminated just so the food would pass muster. Pathetic.

To top it off some of the melamine may have gotten placed into pig feed as well. The agent was found in pig urine at a pig farm and that farm has been quarantined. FDA officials are now looking into the possibility that the meat sold from that farm was contaminated.

Well there you have it folks, cell phones are bad for your health. No I’m talking about crazy drivers that drive around with a phone stuck to their ear, mouths running a mile a minute, and their common sense sitting on a table at home.

Although let’s be honest, they’re a real pain too.

I’ve never much cared for my cellphone as I’m not keen on the lack of privacy, but this makes me even more leery about it. Ah well, I listen to music and play games on it more than anything else so I don’t feel too threatened.

But shesh, once word of this hits the general populace there will be even more texting going on then ever before! People don’t seem to realize that just because you’re not gabbing your jaws it’s still rude to be texting in the middle of activites. Classes, funerals, conversations - please have manners damnit!

Well I am sure there are a lot of red and puffy eyes today. It would appear that Sanjaya Malakar has at long last been voted off of American Idol.

Terribly tragic news that isn’t it?

Well while he might not have much talent for singing, and many wondered how he even made as far as he did, there is one tragedy in this. AI can expect its ratings for this season to drop now. After all, didn’t everyone tune in this season to see when Sanjaya would be voted off? Didn’t everyone tune in to see Antonella Barba and compare her to the numerous pictures of her online? Now that they’re gone, well, where’s the drama for this season? What is there to draw in the crowd? There’s nothing.

So now maybe I can finally stop seeing my headline news riddled with AI updates. Pft, the competition is over and the drama is at last finito.

Does outer beauty determine one’s self worth? It’s not supposed but sometimes it’s fun to poke fun at others none the less. That said, and in my blatant attempt to distract myself and readers from the even more depressing and sickening developments with VT I’m going to attempt some humor.

I’m told my wit is lacking though so you’ll have to bear with me ladies and gents. Now anyone who is a Harry Potter nut knows who Severus Snape is and many have probably made cracks about his nose. But here’s someone who really does need to be informed about Rhinoplasty Toronto.

This man has a horrid sense of humor and his views and stance is archaic and insulting at best. Perhaps a little plastic surgery would help to improve the *cough* poor exterior and make him more enticing to eyes?

I’m told though that if the soul is ugly that it becomes a reflection of the person as well so perhaps that wouldn’t help him at all after all. Still this man needs all the help he can get. New flash Imus, your racist and derragatory comments are not funny.

Although I have to admit, the comment that got him fired was nothing compared to the others that he’s said in the past.
